Tanzania: Northern Circuit & Zanzibar

Around 12–13 days · Arusha, Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Zanzibar

The classic northern circuit at an unhurried pace, followed by a coastal finish. Baobab country in Tarangire, several nights in the Serengeti chosen by season, a full crater day in Ngorongoro, then a short flight to the coast to end slowly.

Who it may suit
First-time safari travellers and couples who want the full northern spread plus beach time.
Accommodation level
Comfortable to premium lodges and tented camps, en-suite throughout, with a coastal hotel to finish.
Travel window
The drier months around June to October, or late January to February when the herds are often on the southern plains. Wildlife movement varies year to year.

Kenya: Amboseli, Lake Naivasha & Maasai Mara

Around 10–11 days · Nairobi, Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara

Three contrasting Kenyan ecosystems with short internal flights instead of long road days. Elephant country beneath a famous mountain skyline, a Rift Valley lake interlude, and several nights in the Mara or an adjoining conservancy.

Travellers who want variety without long drives, and families who benefit from a private vehicle and a gentler pace.
Accommodation level
Well-run lodges and tented camps; conservancy camps where activity flexibility matters.
Travel window
Late June to October is widely associated with easier viewing; January and February are often warm and settled. Herd movement cannot be guaranteed on any date.

South Africa: Johannesburg, Private Game Reserve & Cape Town

Around 12–14 days · Johannesburg, Greater Kruger region, Cape Town and the peninsula

Safari and city in a single country. Guided drives in a private reserve adjoining Kruger, then an internal flight south for Cape Town, the peninsula and a winelands section, so the long distances happen in the air.

Who it may suit
Travellers who want wildlife alongside coast, city and wine country, with straightforward logistics.
Accommodation level
Safari lodges in the Greater Kruger region, plus centrally located city and coastal hotels.
Travel window
Roughly May to September for drier bush viewing; November to March for the warmest Cape weather. Shoulder months balance the two halves.

Egypt: Cairo, a Nile Journey & Luxor to Aswan

Around 10–11 days · Cairo, Luxor, the Nile, Aswan

A cultural journey at river pace. Cairo and the Giza plateau first, then a flight south to Luxor for the west-bank sites, a slow Nile section with temple stops, and Aswan to finish.

Who it may suit
Travellers drawn to history and architecture, including families who prefer early starts, shaded downtime and fewer sites per day.
Accommodation level
City hotels with good locations, plus a river cruise ship or smaller sailing vessel.
Travel window
October to April is generally the more comfortable window for extended sightseeing; summer in Upper Egypt is considerably hotter.
